Members of Ludus and LEG II AVG gladiators research fights and techniques. As well as trying to recreate gladiatorial combat for the public to enjoy members of Ludus Gladiatorius spend considerable time investigating various aspects of gladiatorial life and death. The society hosts the Roman Combat Sports forum which is a growing community of people from around the world interested in this fascinating aspect of Romes entertainment.

As part of the renovation of the site the research section is undergoing considerable work with every essay submitted undergoing revision. As the work is revised it will be placed back up in this section. Our thanks for your patience as we sort this through.
